February commitment: 22 Warriors

I have to mix up some squads to get my painting schedule done, so I will do my first squad of 15 plus some. I own 44 warriors and I need 40 for my list, but I did not want to leave 4 warriors unpainted!

Now that is a commendable commitment, even with Necron Warriors!

Oh great, I'm being over-ambitious. Thanks for scaring me Loopy!

I'm hoping to show my steps for the first squad so you can see what I'm planning on doing for other squads. For the first part, I drybrushed the warriors with tin bitz in hopes that when I do the boltgun metal over top, some of the bronze will come through looking like rust. We'll see if it will be a wasted step or not! I know that I focused on the wrong part of the model when I took the picture, but you get the idea.

Next step: dry brush of boltgun metal. I think my rust look came through. After this, wash with badab black.

After wash and some basing:

I was planning on doing lava bases, but BlaineThPain beat me to it! I found a video on how to make crystals out of old sprue bits, so I'm happy to go that route. Probably will be a lot faster and I don't have much time anyway.

Great start, sir. I think skipping the lava wasn't a bad idea anyways. I think your paint scheme better fits a world with a bit more moisture.
