Three color standard complete. Edging the blue/white areas took forever. Roughly 8 hours sunk into that alone in the last 2 days with another 2 hours washing out the light blue areas.

I'm not quite satisfied to call him finished but it's the end of the month so pencils down eh?

The wing highlights that I did on the Parasite of Motrex will be easy by comparison. I hope to revisit him to have that by the end of this 5 month period.

May commitment: 2 squads of 5 Genestealers and a Broodlord w/ Scything Talons.

Question for those experienced with washing:
Is there a good was of washing the light crevices without loosing the ivory look?
Am I better off just letting lighting cast shadows?

If you can get a light blue-grey like the old Space Wolves grey and mix it with Lahmian medium and paint it, not wash it, into the the areas you want shading it could help add some depth.
