I tried to resist starting a new army but gave in. And with the HPC starting anew, I am doubly motivated to get some paint on models
Unfortunately the army I have in mind is not suited for zone mortalis as it will have lots of flyers and skimmers
The paint scheme concept for the army is yellow necrons (bananacrons) with a jungle theme. The moist environment has made the damage to their armour (both from damage and from traveling through a jungle) start to rust.
I found some pictures online of this kind of paint scheme and borrowed heavily from that. I want to use the new army to try out some weathering techniques like hairspray and salt, sponging, pigments, ... and maybe even some OSL.
Before going all out on the army, I tried this out on test models.
And the results are ...
