I ended up drilling out the shallow flight base slot that comes on the model to use the GW stock flight stand - now that it's not at risk of falling off all the time I'm happy with it - but without modification it would be a disaster I think. How is she coming along? :)

Poorly. I have had to prioritize a bunch of Marines to get ready for a tournament coming up in two weeks. And, beyond that, I discovered that the extensive cleaning of mold release I put into this wasn't enough, and paint is beginning to slough off, so I'm going to have to start her over from scratch. :(

Well, I didn't complete the hobby progress challenge, but I feel as though I completed it in spirit. I completed a lot of models other than my Guard this fall.

For starters, this entire 1850 army:

Consisting of an Imperial Knight Errant:

Darnath Lysander with an 8-man Tactical Squad in a Drop Pod:

A Chapter Master in Terminator armour with a Power Fist, the Shield Eternal, and an Auspex, also with an 8-man Tactical Squad in a Drop Pod:

A 5-man Tactical Squad in a Drop Pod:

Two 5-man Devastator Squads with 4 lascannons each:

Two Stormtalon Gunships:

I also painted a bunch of Grey Knights and Inquisition:
Brother-Captain Stern:

Inquisitor Coteaz:

Ordo Xenos Inquisitor in Power Armour with a variety of Inquisitorial Henchmen:
