I applaud your 2nd ed army. I too rock some vintage guardsmen and I enjoy seeing others putting the work into keeping the old models alive in the new version of the game.

Thanks, although most of them have been straight-line cuts (plasma pistol off the sergeant, lasgun barrels off to replace with flamers), so have been relatively simple. Hardest one was the *one* lasgun guy whose hand extended past the stock, so I had to finagle things a little bit--well, and swapping out the scimitar for a power axe.

Well, Wednesday we had a sewer backup at our house, so in spite of having been on pace to make it, I don't think I'm going to get my last 24(!) infantry models painted by Monday. If I get a LOT done Monday and stay up until midnight again, I might be able to manage, but it's not looking good.

Why, oh, why, did I pick Guard for the army I wanted to paint really well?!?!
