Thanks for the comments Loopy - these new models are pretty fun. :) Now that I'm looking at the pictures, I don't like how the water effects made the flock look, so I'll probably sprinkle a bit more on tonight.

JUL hobby commitment

Well, another month of slow progress... had to travel for a friend's wedding, and have generally be suffering from a lack of motivation to paint this month. :P But, I have been busy ordering new models and assembling them... looking forward to getting them on the table for a game, hopefully soon.

For my JUL hobby commitment I have decided to paint one of the two Heralds of Nurgle. I have actually started on both of them, but I don't know if I will manage to get both done this month. Here are some starting progress pics, and I will post final pics again later next week.

JUL hobby commitment

Ok, well it took longer than it should have but I got my July commitment completed. :) I actually got both healds finished and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, although I really could have been a bit neater on some details... especially on the FW herald. But at least they are done now, and it's time to move on to something bigger for Aug... not sure which yet but I'm guessing that I will probably get to work on another daemon prince model and hopefully finish him up early so I can have a jump start on the plague hulk for Sept. Thanks for looking!

I really need to work on my pictures as well... the front of this guy is pretty blurry. I'll try to do something about that next month.

Positively vile and sickening.

Perfect, of course. ;)

AUG hobby commitment

Ok, so here's the goal for August - the second daemon prince of Nurgle. I actually have another model I'd like to use in my army, but I want to spend some time on assembling and cleaning that one up, so I'm just going to use this guy instead. I already have him primed up and ready to go anyway. :)

I'll post final pics when he's done. I'll try to get him done early this month so I can start early on next month's commitment, which I think will be the plague hulk.

I got this guy off ebay, and it was in really, really rough shape. :( I spent a lot of time breaking him apart, stripping paint, and rebuilding and priming him. He's still not perfect, but it's Nurgle so at least he has an excuse. :P This is probably the last model I try to save money on via ebay though... too much effort to try and restore it - not at all worth saving the 30 bucks or so on.

 Wish I knew you'd sell it - I like the way you've done yours. Oh well, more Nurgle models are always a good thing. :)
