Adan -- CSM Mutations

This will be a Chaos Space Marine themed force that features mutations rolling into battle -- kind of the last stop between a CSM army and a straight Daemons army. It will all be Mark of Tzeentch, to represent the "change" that is happening.

The goal is maximize the number of Mutilators, Obliterators and Spawn in the army, with a Daemon Prince HQ, a Sorcerer HQ or a Dark Apostle HQ or some combination of those. In order to maximize the creepy-crawlies, I'm using 2 cultists units as troops.

I realize this is the very definition of a "min/max" list, but I hope the theme is strong enough to not have people yelling "cheese".

The 1850 list might look like:

Daemon Prince, Wings, PA, MoT
Sorcerer, Level 3, Terminator Armor, Spell Familiar, MoT
12 Cultists, MoT
12 Cultists, MoT
7 Mutilators, MoT
9 Spawn, MoT
7 Obliterators, MoT

Ever since reading the Horus Heresy Thousand Sons novel, I have thought this type of army would be fantastic. Catching the army half way between SM and Chaos Mutated monster. Looking forward to seeing this army develop.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. You may have some tough units there, but in objective missions where HS aren't scoring, you'll have a tough time. Those cultists are squishy!

Can we get a close up in your spawn?

I'm a hobby-adverse player. I spend a couple of hours cleaning cultists, and I've pulled out a box of the Spawn and planned how I'm going to assemble them. I'm Waaaaaaay behind. I may end up moving this to the normal Painting & Modeling section, as there's no way I'm going to make monthly goals.
