What color are your bases? That's what I'm looking for to finish my Tau.

The bases were painted with the Blackfire Earth texture paint, washed with Nuln Oil and then drybrushed with Terminatus Stone. The rim of the bases were painted with Calthan Brown.

I find using the clothespins to be particularly handy for models with parts that I want to paint separately before assembling. It makes priming a lot easier and quicker since the newly sprayed parts are suspended in air and don't touch anything. This way, after priming a part, I don't have to wait for the primer do dry before putting it down.

Also, if the base is big (as is the case for e.g. heavy weapons teams) it can really be in the way when trying to paint the dudes on the base.
