I got a boat load of Imperial Guard as a xmas present and what better way to actually get it painted then to commit to it in public

So the list, its actually build to our local game size of 1750 but I have a few extras I'll paint to boost it to a legal 1850+ list if needed or to be used as a kind of sideboard.

Troops:
Veteran Infantry Squad, 3x Meltagun, Chimera
Veteran Infantry Squad, 3x Meltagun, Chimera

Infantry Squad, 1x Autocannon
Special Weapon Squad, 3x Flamer,

Fast:

Valkyrie - Missle pods, Heavy Bolters
Valkyrie - Missle pods, Heavy bolters

Heavy Support:
LR Demolisher, Heavy Bolter
LR Demolisher, Heavy Bolter
Manticore, Heavy Bolter

Looks great from here, though the lighting is hiding some pretty sweet weathering if I'm not mistaken. Where's those new pics?! :)

Bah! Short month + lack of interest in 40K in my local area means Im having issues to remember about this!

So I was going to paint a HQ and test colours on my infantry.

I didnt get far. Curse you Feburary for being3 days short! I thought I had the weekend to finish it

Anyhow heres where I got too. Spent far too much time trying to get urban camo right. Then decided to slap em on Mars, as you do with urban camo. It looks nice so I dont care :D

Been having issues with time. Building, magentising and painting a unit a month is hard work. But after reading this

You sure can!

I think I'll do the same. This months I'll be assembling whats left to assemble of the army.
Next month I shall be starting to paint them. I'll commit to painting 3 Chimeras for now.

Edit:- Bah just noticed I commited to getting the Vet Squads done. Better get cracking!

This months target came through. I painted a Veteran Squad

The before pile of both units

And the after shot of one of them

Next month gets the other unit done and Im hoping a tank or 2. With my current track record though, I doubt it!

The guard bore me to tears to paint.... Im having issues getting around to painting them, so much so Ive painted none this month.

So Im going to go back to something Ive wanted to do for a while, a Pre Heresy Blood Angels army.

Now Im going to start a new thread, I dont know if this work still counts, but tbh Im not overly bothered if it does :)

The link to the new thread....
