Good old IA!

My 850pts are similar but out of the codex:
2 Battle Tanks, 1 Executioner, 2 vet squads in chimeras (3 melta / 2 plasma) & a command squad. 30 models neat! 10 models start on the board.

It's actually my IG allies of my marine army I'm thinking of... Just need 1000pt of hard ass marines to go with them.

Managed to knock over the Scout Sentinel squadron late last night just in time for this weekends tournament. Nice models but I'm going to send them back to basic. Game this afternoon, 4 rounds to shoot a the rear armour of 2 Ultramarine dreadnoughts and not a single glance or pen out of 24 shots…

I don't think I've ever seen Kreig walkers before. Very cool. I love that they're open-topped, so the dudes are wearing their gas masks!

Thanks Loopy. The pilots were a pain to convert as the Cadian style bodies the sentinels come with is a bit bigger than the Krieg tank commander torso/head, so it took a fair bit of careful trimming and green stuffing to make them.

Excellent walkers - I've been toying with the idea of including some Renegade ones in my small IG contingent. You may have just convinced me

Some random progress shots for the manticore and basilisk I'm working on at the moment. Hope to finish them this weekend before a tourney on Saturday.

Have also got my RoBB on the go. Thanks Carl for making me feel guilty that I hadn't finished mine.

Debating what colour to paint the thunderhawk. Can't be green or white as I'm working on DA and looking to start White Scars next. Black and gray won't stand out enough. Can't be yellow cause I'm afraid of painting yellow, so it down to Blood Angels or Ultramarines...

Chaos it up and you can go with pink, purple, metallic, or even just a heap of rusty weathering.
Bolter marines never go out of fashion. They are the little black dress of troops choices.

I like Rob's idea. Maybe use this as an opportunity to try out that paint-on rust stuff. Maybe have a tree growing out of the wreckage with roots and vines wrapped around it in some places.
