Thanks for the quick feedback Carl, it's tough to keep these guys from looking cartoony.

2nd Plaguebearer prototype done. Can you even tell the difference? I think this 2nd one is more inkeeping with the rest of my army.

Feedback?

It is hard to fully appreciate the subtleties of color from photos... but without having seen these up close, here is my input. Go with the black/grey of the army as the base, bring it up to a truly GW nurgle green around the wounds/sores and then paint those sores as you have here.

You get the dark tones of your army, the shout out to papa nurgle and the green "halo" should offset the gore and make it "Pop" imo.

Again, not having seen these in hand, I could just be talking out my...

Sadly, no new progress on the Nurgle faction, but my delays and atrophy were rewarded with new plaguebearers.

ON TO THE NEW and I could use some input please. This is my Daemon Prince of Tzeentch. It's a pretty simple conversion, but...

Which pose do you like better?
Craddeling his blade:

The casting hand:

I will be swapping out the hand holding the sword for the one with the matching bracer, but the pose won't change.

So which one is better?

I prefer the stroking his blade picture. It looks a bit sinister, while the spell casting hand seems underwhelming.
What the torso and head from?

I like the cradeling the blade pose better too. It's a more powerful pose, the other one he kind of looks like he can't decide what to do.

Craddling the sword wins! I was going to go with the other pose, but enough people liked the holding the sword pose, that I decided to go with holding the blade... I'm glad I did.

Looks like the GW Cockatrice, right?

Looks creepy as all hell with it's proportions all bent out of whack like that. I love it.

Feed back? I was using tapatalk to view this thread, which means I can scroll through the pics.

Watching the progression was neat, but i literaly dropped my jaw and said "wow" outloud, unitentionaly

I seriously like the color scheme. The way you used the reds to contract the blue is phenomonal. You put it in all the right places, this model has increadible color balance. The gold and red draw your eyes around the model, making you see all the important aspects. I am seriously impressed.
I fink we should just SMASH dah' lot 'o 'em! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
