Looking good! I like the contrast you're doing with your gore bases with their primary color scheme.

Well, progress is being made. Jump packs and the NL shoulder pads left on the unit and still most of the torso on the dreadnought.

Working on the weapons for the Champion now, plus the hand flamers for the other two champions as well. You can also see where I'm going with the dreadnought weapons; "blood" talon hands with built-in meltagun and heavy flamer (out of shot) for when I'm running it with C:BA. Will use the normal external guns for the storm bolters, but I never liked the bulky special weapons.

The ones who follow this thread also have something special to look forward to, because in two weeks time I'll not only present my list revision but I'll also reveal just what the October/November project "Unrelenting Despair" really is..

Thanks for the bump, saves me the time to actually find this thread again.. :)

September status: Complete!

Unfortunately my phone was acting up on me and refused to cooperate, so for now I only have a rather crappy picture of the finished dreadnought.
Yet again, I find myself starting the final parts much too late, since the arms and torso only had the basecoat blue done when I woke up this morning. I'll likely switch his head out at a later stage though since the one he has right now isn't quite what I want but it'll serve for now (head and front plate are blu-tac:ed on until I do find the right head to use).

Better quality pics and pictures of the assault/hunter claw will have to wait until monday since I'll likely be much too tired from work to do it this weekend.

A list revision will accompany the better pictures early next week.

Awesome dreadnought! I don't wanna stand in front of that bastard with anything less than a meltagun.

So how is the plan for october?

Looks like the latest pictures are almost as crappy as the first one. Oh well, guess I'll have to actually use some proper lighting next time.

Unrelenting Despair - Project Start!

All resin pieces, which is to say all the turrets, the autocannons, the tracks, engines and fuel tanks are from Machinator over at Warseer and his e-bay store can be found here: http://stores.ebay.com/Blood-and-Skulls-Industry
The Fellblade Cannon and the back engine plate is a commission work from him.

I'll try to magnetize as much as possible, but we'll see how well the resin likes that idea..

Image
Everything but the tracks have been cleaned since a while back, just awaiting this moment. The idea is that assembly will be done this month and painting next month to get it ready for our Apocalypse game on November 26th.
(In between building sessions, I'm hoping I'll get some time to get the second predator close to completion, but that's a pure bonus mission).

Some progress:

Image
This is the worst thing I've cut through since I cut through the CSM Raptor Champion arm to get the lightning claw free.. I guess it would've been easier if I had cut the turret plate apart, but I thought it might be useful sometime in the future so I wanted it intact.
Oh, and I really wished for some kind of power tool while doing this with my exacto-knives..
The "holes" for the viewports will be covered with greenstuff and those ugly rivets had to go in favour for some other ones I have prepared.

Image
Resin turret plate on the dryfitted Fellblade. I'll likely require quite a few more dryfittings (and a lot of other stuff) before I start gluing it together. I don't want to end up having to take it apart again halfway through..
