using the black templar book about six months ago I founded my own chapter, and as soon as I figure out how to upload pictures I will share them with you. Anyway the chapter was founded after Rogal dorn visited a planet devistated by the heresy because of the lack of imperial forces to proctect the people of the planet. Disgusted and angered by the foul deeds commited by his once brother. He in secret with only his most trusted brothers of the second founding chapters agreed to form a secret chapter. For 2000 years the order of the imperial shield had most of their battle brothers come from Blood of dorn chapters. untill after the inquisiton tried to exterminate a pure world rather than try and purify the corrupt. Imperial shield forces opened fire on the inquisitors flag ship destroying it in minutes under the skill of the Astartes fleet. After those events the order could no longer hide and operate in the shadows. they set up that world they defended as one of their recruiting world and followed in the defiant ways of the black templars. tell me what you think and i'll sit here and try and figure out how to upload.

I'm not sure the Lords of Terra would stand by and allow an Inquisitor's flagship be blasted from space without response, but I like the defend the innocent theme.

lol the high lords probably wouldn't appreciate it, but they probably wouldn't want the blood of dorn chapters teaming up. *which would be an awesome campaing mission, I should go write one up right now*

White is such a tricky color to paint but you have chosen a really nice set of colors to work in conjunction with it in my opinion.

I am just about to start practicing white for a secret project that I am working on and I am kind of dreading it.

One thing you might want to try is painting the model grey, then building up to a white while leaving the grey in the recesses. This will create more of an illusion of depth...

I love the combination of the white and gold on that land raider as well. This is a unit that would stand out drastically on the table... or should I say dramatically!?

thanks, I've heard of the layering grey trick. As for the landraider I wanted them to know that if they didn't stop it a lot of hurt was comming their way.

I like it, the colors make them look like the ultimate good guys, all decked out in white and red.

So its a crusade army, does this mean we'll see all the fist and successor chapter colors and heraldry?

Also...Qarl...if you want to start an army less competitive than Khorne...may I suggest Sister of Battle...or necrons, in that order,

actually yes, mainly because i'm out of crusader cross's and i'm terrible at free handing. that'll likely happen after I finish painting the small guard army i've started.
