Home made mortalis

Post by MrCK » Wed Sep 02, 2015 5:38 pm

A few years back I bought a zone mortalis board from forgeworld, it was really nice, but as I didn't have space for it I ended up selling it.

Now I have plenty of space and considered buying myself another, then I thought about it and realised I could achieve the same style of play at a fraction of the cost.

So I ordered some 2' x 2' mdf and set to work. All the insulation foam was left over from another boatd i've built lately so that cost me nothing. I'm sure i'll spend some more cash at some point, but for the moment its more time than money being spent.

So I drew out a grid on all the MDF and then cut the foam to fit in the squares, that way it can be rotated and changed but will still match up.

It's going to be a cave with ancient Chaos markings (or at least thats the plan)
